How To Survive Winter In 7 Steps
Hi everyone, another blog post online!
If you are one of the people who absolutely hate winter and can't wait to feel sunshine on you skin, stick with me and read on.
I am definitely one of such people and during winter I have not idea what to do these cold, snowy and rainy days. I am always just stuck in my flat and watching Netflix more often than not. Although there are a few thing that I do that help me get through winter, so let's take a look at how and absolute anti-winter lover is surviving the coldest time of the year!
1. Get comfortable
The best thing about winter is that you finally have a very good reason to tuck yourself in into your comfort blanket and sit in an armchair with a good book in your hands and looking out of the window on the falling snow. And don't forget to make yourself a cup of tea! That's our plan with Matej for spring break which starts on February 4th: we are going to Poland to a resort in the mountains. And can you guess what the plan is? Exactly, staying at the nice hotel and looking out of the window, drinking tea and reading a lot of books. No skiing, no snowboarding, this winter is about relaxing! 💅🏼
2. Make an awesome breakfast
No one likes to get up in the morning and before heading out, look outside and see the snow, rain or horrible weather. So what would be better than starting your day with an awesome breakfast? Take your time, make yourself an açai bowl, cereals, bacon, eggs or maybe pancakes? Make yourself a rich breakfast to get you through the day.
3. Take a bath
I don't know no better thing to do when you are frozen to the bone and feeling like an ice cube. Take a bath! It's so relaxing, you will be feeling better in a bit and you can take your time! Make sure the water has a good temperature, light up some candles and put on some relaxing music. And don't forget a nice scented bath bomb, for example from Lush or some other cosmetics shop (#notsponsored, but totally could be, Lush 😼), but these bombs smell like heaven!
4. Go ice skating
I am not a winter person, but ice skating? I won't say no to that! It is my dream to go ice skating in New York in front of the Rockefeller Center - it looks so nice and you will definitely feel the winter vibes. Try to find an ice skating ring and knock yourself out! And if you can't skate, it's the best time to learn. And don't forget, it's also a great place to go on a date! 😉
5. Bake something
A year and a half ago I found my love in baking and cooking. I bought a lots of cooking books and everyone in my family was really impressed! If you are too lazy to go to the café to get a cake, just bake something! Find some recipes on the internet and bake, bake, bake! Also, I was kind of wondering if you would like to see some recipes here? Should I write some? 🤔 Haha and what's better than your stomach full of warm cake during the winter? 🤷🏻♀️
6. Do something creative
If you are bored to death, try to do something creative, something you really enjoy doing. I use my free time to take pictures of my creative work, so you can do the same to improve your Instagram. You can also watch some DIY tips to make your life easier. I am so obsessed with 5-Minute Crafts and their videos 😅 I saved every single one because there are some really good tips there! Or you can draw something! Definitely do something creative, it makes a difference!
7. Plan your summer vacation
If you can't wait till the winter ends this one is absolutely the best thing you can do! I just love this, I can start planning my next summer vacation in September 😳 Yes, that's how much I love summer 😂 This summer we are going somewhere where we have a lot to plan 🙏🏼 And where are we going? Don't worry, you'll will find out soon 😇
I hope this little list will help you guys and that we are all going to survive the winter!
With love, Absolutely Anna ❤️
