Café Silesia #2

Café Silesia #2

Hi coffee lovers, welcome to my second review of cafés in Prague. This week it's Café Silesia, so I hope you like Italian coffee! 🇮🇹

The second café I chose to visit is quite spontaneous because I didn't actually know it even existed until we came across it with Matěj by coincidence! We were walking from our Saturday lunch with a delicious coffee from Double B (don't worry, you will hear about this café later!) and a very nice Italian guy just stoped us in front of his café and asked what coffee we had and if we liked it and we just had a nice little conversation. He also said, quite subtly, that the coffee in his café is the best, so do you know what this is for a coffee lover to hear? 😂 It's just like heaven! And also a challenge! So I looked around and found their Instagram (so you can check them out too) and right now I am sitting in the café and writing a detailed review for you! Please read on ⬇️ ☕️

Location: ☕️ ☕️

This location is a actually somewhat bad. I didn't know that this café even existed until we walked by it by accident. It's not on the main street or a busy place at all so you can't really spot it from your car or the tram. And here we are again: is it a positive thing or a downside? 🤔 This street is quite and I really like quiet places, so there's a + for this. However, tourists and even people from the neighborhood can't possibly walk by very often. Just people who live really nearby will be walking by everyday.

Comfiness: ☕️ ☕️

I've been sitting here like for an hour and I am not really feeling comfy enough. Maybe it's because I am a demanding person because I am visiting much more specific cafés. This café is really nice, the design just screaming ITALIA, but I feel that they could do more to make it more comfortable in the front of the café. Something is just missing although I can't really put my finger on what it is. 🤔 But I definitely love their armchairs right next to a big bookshelf. They also have a VIP LOUNGE downstairs for big and private events so that's always cool! I also liked their lighting - for an evening glass of wine it's absolutely perfect ❤️ - not too light and not too dark in here! In the café, there are around 10 tables, just like in last week's Sweet & Pepper DAYS about which you can read right here. They are practically the same size. And you'll always find a place to sit! There were no people there when I walked in 😅 All café for myself? What could be better?!

Look at this place! ❤️ This is the comfy area I was looking for!

Service: ☕️ ☕️ ☕️ ☕️

There were two waitresses there when I walked in, siting at one of the tables. However, they stood up as quickly as they could 😂. So definitely no lazy service here! I always like that! Everything was fine, they take care of you as much as they can. And because I am working at s café too, I can definitely recognize customers who don't want to be bothered and just want to enjoy their cup of coffee in peace... and I am one of them 😂 They brought me a bottle of water without asking, and then refilled it again, so definitely a nice treatment. After while of sitting and drinking coffee, the aforementioned Italian guy (the owner) came in with a bike. He must have been on a trip or something, so no small talk today 😂.

 Café all for myself! 😅

Price range: 💸 💸 💸

Oh, I was quite surprised because this café is really cheap, or at least cheaper than Sweet & Pepper Days! For cappuccino it's 2.18$ (1.77€). I definitely categorize it as a cheap café with a good quality! It was definitely a nice surprise for me ❤️ You can have a little snack or even a "Pinsa" (and older form of pizza from a different dough, I have to try it!) for a good price too.

Taste of coffee: ☕️ ☕️ ☕️

The café is owned by Jana and Enrico, and they both love coffee and want to share coffee from a little Italians roasters with us! ☕️ Their coffee is very specific. If you ever had Italian coffee, you would know that their coffee is strong and bitter. I don't mind this at all and this coffee is really good. That fine Italian guy didn't lie. I had a cappuccino and even this coffee with milk was strong enough! So if you are looking for a good Italian coffee, I can recommend this one to you! Amazing price and this coffee is so good. They are not preparing an alternative versions of coffee like the V60 or french press. I was a bit sad because I'd love to try these versions with coffees from small Italian roasters.

I just can't find good late art in Prague

Overall experience: ☕️ ☕️ ☕️

I would love to recommend you this café for take away coffees because I was sitting here for 2 hours and it was so hot in there 🤒. BUT for a summer days they said that a little garden with chairs is coming! So good for them! I loved having the whole café just for myself so I am definitely coming back! They're also offering Italian cheese and wines! Omg I have to come back soon!

The café was full of sunshine! How lovely!

So the second review has come to an end and I hope you liked it! Come back next week, the third review is in the progress! ❤️ Have a nice day and visit both of the cafés soon!

With love,                                                                                                                               Absolutely Anna ☕️
