Sweet & Pepper DAYS #1
Hi coffee lovers, you won't believe but I know why you are here! You love coffee as much as I do and you want to know more about cafés in Prague! And believe it or not, there are plenty of them here ☕️
The first café I chose to write about, Sweet & Pepper Days, is one near my home and near Prague's "Peace Square" 😂. It's kinda funny to translate Czech names literally! I found this place thanks to instagram like lots of the things that I love. How I adore social media for that! I found their instagram and you can take a look at their page too! And I've only known about this café for just a few months, so I am really excited what they are gonna offer in the summer! Let's take a look at a detailed review! ⬇️ My ratings will be in ☕️ out of five!
Location: ☕️ ☕️ ☕️ 1/2☕️
For cafés like this is the location pretty good. It's not the centre of Prague, which I think is a positive thing, because cafés like this one doesn't want to be or even look like Starbucks so a minimum of tourists is definitely the positive thing if you want to feel at Prague like a local (like I do when I travel!). Here you will meet mostly local people. For local people it's an absolute gem, as Prague 2 is such a stunning place to live. Lots of green, lots of cafés and it's much quieter than the main centre. To have this café here lets you enjoy a new place where you can spend your afternoon. The only downside is that the café is right on a main street, so it's definitely not such a quiet place and a lot of cars are going by outside.
Comfiness: ☕️ ☕️ ☕️ ☕️
Right after you walk into the café, you'll notice that it's such a cozy place. It is owned by a family with passion for food and it's such a brilliant idea! For some people it might be uncomfortable to sit on a chair or bench where you can't rest your back and the chairs here are more or less that, but you can sit on a normal chair too, don't worry! 😂 I also love their rustic tables and decorations on walls, and the whole interior is quite special❤️ This café is a little small, so not suitable for a big family event for example or you would take up half of the café 😅. There are around 10 tables here, but you will most likely find a place to sit and on the weekeds too! But in my opinion it's a positive thing, because I DON'T like places overcrowded by people - the noise from the outside is quite enough 🙄.
Service: ☕️ ☕️ ☕️ ☕️
Because it's a family bistro & café they care about what you think about them and their café. They are always nice and kind to you. I saw that somewhere in the US there is a special restaurant with rude waitresses 😳 I don't know, I think it's weird 😂 So they are definitely not rude here, on the contrary, it's just a big family and they want you to be happy here!
Price range: 💸 💸 💸
This is not one of the most expensive cafés & bistros in Prague. I would even categorize it as kind of cheap, because here you will pay "only" 2.80$ for cappuccino whereas in a near Starbucks you'll pay around 4.60$ for a small café 😄 (around 2.30€ and 3.70€ respectively). And for Prague 2 is the price quite okay! ✨
Taste of coffee: ☕️ ☕️ ☕️
I love coffee and I've finally learned to recognize good coffee from a bad one. Sweet & Pepper DAYS doesn't have bad coffee – if they did I wouldn't be here right know. 😂 The coffee here is not something that will blow your mind in the morning and charge you up for a whole day. I think the category for this coffee is more like an afternoon tea, but instead you're drinking coffee. You get me? 😂 It's coffee that you can eat cake with or have a sweet latte to go. Their batch brew is not especially strong, so if you'd like no that strong a coffee, this one's for you! And latté art? Not something special. The whole family is working here, so here just have to be few people who don't know how to do latté art, right? 😂
Overall experience: ☕️ ☕️ ☕️ ☕️
I really like it here. It's always quiet inside so I don't mind the small space. They are also doing a "Friday Night" event so you can come and have fun till 1 am! I was here once but after midnight already, so it was't that lively. I always like to come here for a coffee and observe everything from the window.
I hope you liked my first review - there are plenty more to come soon! Stay tuned and come visit our today's café when you're in Prague! ✨
With love, Absolutely Anna ☕️
